I am a professional life coach with over 15 years professional training and domestic and international experience as both a consultant and a staff member of several organizations.
As Great People Development Manager, I currently head up UCSF's Campus Life Services Development & Training unit, providing staff with resources and training to guide them on their paths to personal and professional greatness. From 2006 to 2017, I worked in Human Resources at The United Nations Children's Fund, focusing most recently on performance management. In this capacity, I helped staff to be empowered in their role by both taking charge of their performance planning as well as by defining their contribution to the organization's mission. I assisted in designing and implementing experiential workshops for the organization's award-winning global career development program. As a communications consultant, I have written and edited training manuals, websites, magazine/journal articles and communication materials for various companies. I have also worked in international education, both on the student and scholar level. In all of my professional endeavors, I aim to assist individuals in having fulfilling experiences and making a difference.
About me outside of work: A published writer, I write creative non-fiction, fiction and personal essay, and have performed in numerous readings and storytelling shows. I have a great love for baking and baked goods, and co-organize a group/event called Donutpalooza. I love seeing live theater, and practice meditation to help keep myself balanced, and to appreciate the present moment.
I attended The George Washington University, where I earned a B.A. in English, with a focus on Creative Writing. During college, I sailed around the world on Semester at Sea, visiting 11 countries in 100 days. I also lived and worked in Vietnam for two years. I hold an M.A. in Intercultural Service, Leadership & Management from School for International Training/SIT Graduate Institute. My certification in life coaching is from The Coaches Training Institute, the world's first and largest coach training school.
I invite you to contact me directly if you would like to explore the possibility of coaching with me!
